You Want the Best Doctors Reading Your Results

At Lower Bucks Hospital, our board-certified radiologists are extensively trained in the art and science of reading imaging test results. Many of our doctors specialize in reading scans for specific conditions needed.

Our program is accredited by the American College of Radiology, which means that both our equipment and our doctors have met or exceeded a set of rigorous quality standards. When it comes to excellence in radiology, we measure up against hospital systems across the country.

Bringing Radiology into the Digital Age

Gone are the days of waiting for a hard copy of your imaging test results to be delivered to a radiologist during business hours. We use a digital, high-definition system for sharing images. This lets our radiologists view your results from anywhere, at any time of the day or night.

This improved access means our doctors can see and interpret your images sooner so you spend less time waiting to find out your results.

Stress Tests

Testing the heart under controlled stress, such as while walking, helps evaluate coronary artery disease and other cardiac conditions.

Our heart specialists conduct hundreds of stress tests each year to support diagnostic and treatment decision-making.

Types of Stress Tests

Exercise stress tests are conducted while walking on a treadmill. The exercise stress load is increased gradually to reach a target heart rate. Echocardiograms, or heart ultrasounds, are performed before and after the test.

Non-exercise stress tests are given to patients who are unable to exercise. They receive medications to stimulate heart rate.

Stress Test Findings

Changes in heart wall motion during stress tests can suggest blood flow problems. Blood pressure is also measured. Abnormal stress test findings usually will be followed by other tests.
