Bristol, PA (January 4 , 2021) – Lower Bucks Hospital announced today that Angelo J. Ratini, D.O. and Melinda M. Ratini, D.O. have joined BMC Medical Group.

Dr. Angelo Ratini and Dr. Melinda Ratini are board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practitioners with a certificate of added qualification in geriatrics.

The physicians come to Lower Bucks Hospital from Holy Redeemer Family Practice in Philadelphia, PA. For over 30 years, they have been active staff members at Lower Bucks Hospital. Before joining Holy Redeemer Family Practice, they were active in the Lower Bucks Hospital Family Practice Department in addition to the Family Practice residency program, while operating their own practice on Radcliffe Street, in Bristol, PA.

“We are very excited to welcome the dynamic Ratini team to BMC Medical Group,” said Dr. Ronak Bhimani, chief medical officer of Lower Bucks Hospital. “Both provide a great blend of top- notch clinical education for our residency program and knowledge with a strong passion for providing community-based care. They will continue to be active members of the community as they been throughout their entire careers.”

Both physicians earned their medical degrees from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed their residencies at the Delaware Valley Medical Center. Both physicians are also clinical assistant professors at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

They both serve as staff physicians at Lower Bucks Hospital. They are also on staff at Jefferson Bucks in Langhorne and Saint Mary’s Medical Center in Langhorne. While at Jefferson Bucks, both served as clinical trainers of the family practice residency program.

Dr. Angelo Ratini was a medical consultant at Novo-Nordisk and a member of medical advisory board for DAWN (Diabetes Attitudes Wishes and Needs), while serving as a member of the advisory board at Novartis Consultant Network.

Dr. Melinda Ratini worked as a clinical editor for Harrison Practice of Internal Medicine with Unbound Medicine and was a consultant editor at American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. She is a medical editor for WebMD as she has been for the past 10 years.

Both physicians are members of the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, and Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association.

Both physicians focus on adults with an emphasis on wellness and deal with the many aspects of their care. “We have a holistic approach to how the mind, body, and spirit connect which impacts ones’ health,” said Dr. Angelo Ratini.

“Our approach is empathic and non-judgmental. We see ourselves as educators and empower individuals to become active decision-makers in their own care,” said Dr. Melinda Ratini. Both doctors have said they are excited to be returning to Lower Bucks Hospital and to further their mission to serve patients in Bristol and the surrounding communities.

The physicians’ offices are in Lower Bucks Hospital’s Ambulatory Surgery Center, which will allow patients to have access to Lower Bucks Hospital’s, a state-of-the-art facility that includes radiology and imaging services, orthopedics, surgery, lab services, cardiovascular care and more.
